Flexible Gas Connector: 3 Steps to Choose it

Do you want to install a stove, dryer, boiler or room heater? Keep reading and know what to consider before buying the flexible connector you need for installation.

1. To begin with, determine which appliance you are going to install and how far you are from the Control Switch (wall connection).

Each device will use it differently. For example, a stove you expect to be installed in the same place, but a room heater will want to move it (ex: from the dining room to the living room), and therefore you will need a longer connector.

To define the length necessary for your gas connections, we recommend measuring the distance between the appliance and the Control Key using a tape measure.

2. The next thing to consider is the measurement of the nuts. Take into account the measure that goes towards the Control Key and the one that goes to the gas apparatus. The first is recorded on the Control Key (1/2 ", 3/8" or 5/16 "); The second, you must consult it in the manuals or technical data of the manufacturer. In case you have problems finding them, consult your plumber.

If it is a reinstallation, you can also take the connector to your hardware store or trust store to support you to find the right one.

3. Lastly, consider the material of the braid, since each offers you different benefits. You can choose between stainless steel and vinyl.

Now you know, to choose a connector you must consider a) the length between the Control Key and the apparatus to install, b) the measurement of the nuts that go towards the Control Key and towards the apparatus and c) the material of the braid.

Remember! Coflex Flexible Gas Connectors are certified under the Mexican Official Standard, which guarantees their resistance to tension, torsion and pressure variations.
